BIO BRAZIL FAIR and NATURALTECH break attendance record and boost the segment

Trade fairs prove the growth of the Brazilian market of healthy items that moves about R $ 180 billion

São Paulo, June 2023 – BIO BRAZIL FAIR| BIOFACH LATIN AMERICA and NATURALTECH, the main B2B, B2P and B2C natural and organic products fairs, closed the 2023 edition in June, proving the growth of the Brazilian market for healthy items that, currently, moves around R $ 180 billion per year in the country and has in the fairs its main business showcase.

During the four days of the event, the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in São Paulo, received 52,000 visitors – an increase of 44% compared to the 2022 edition – from all states of Brazil and 30 countries, including retailers, professionals from various health areas, producers, cooperatives, associations, authorities of these sectors and final consumers, interested in getting to know the more than 1,400 brands and 730 exhibitors. “Bio Brazil and Naturaltech help consolidate the country’s position among the four largest consumers of natural products. With so many novelties presented during the event, certainly, we entered the route of the main producers as well. We were able to show the full potential of the country, through innovations and extremely creative launches”, explains Valeska Oliveira, head of product at Francal Feiras.

This was the perception of Claudia Peroba, partner owner of Fazenda do Retiro, who participated for the first time as an exhibitor and received visitors from countries such as the United States and Germany. “Everyone was delighted with the proposal of our beet ketchup. Our goal is to develop more innovative products that really surprise the whole world and give visibility to  the greatness of our work”, celebrates the businesswoman.

For Aline Saraiva Marques, partner owner of GranoSquare Produtos Naturais, being for the first time as an exhibitor at the event was an extremely important experience, very prosperous. “Being at the fair was instrumental in fostering our natural food industry. We interact with all the audiences of our interest, from clients, health professionals to the final public”, comments Marques.

Business Roundtable

More business opportunity was what motivated entrepreneurs to participate  in the Business Roundtable, which totaled 292 meetings, between 17 buyers and 91 suppliers, in an area reserved for conversations, exchange of experiences and closing of agreements. The expectation is that these meetings will result in R$24.6 million in turnover over the next 12 months.

Showcase for all sizes of companies

With 95% of the exhibitors formed by small and medium-sized companies, one of the highlights of this year’s edition was the Naturaltech Incubator & Local.e, an initiative that took 10 companies from several Brazilian states with partial subsidy from Francal Feiras and gave them the opportunity to present innovative products. Like WinStage, manufacturer of gluten-free protein bars, extra sugars, lactose and chemical additives.

Founded in 2020, in the city of Panambi (RS), the company has its own e-commerce and national distribution. Among the partners are players such as Mundo Verde, Quitanda and Raízes.  The products are made with a short list of whole ingredients, such as dates, pasteurized egg whites and almonds. “We were flattered and excited to have been chosen from over 100 companies.  Certainly, the participation in Naturaltech has added a lot of value to our business, which has the objective of delivering a product of the highest possible quality to the consumer,” says Gabriel Fellipe Markus, partner-owner of WinStage.

Who also debuted at the event was Aphrodite Kombucha. According to Taiana Pires Pereira, responsible for the company’s commercial, the fair was an excellent opportunity for people to get to know their products. “It’s the first time we’re exhibiting here at the fair. The editing was very good for us! Our releases were great and we were able to sell and reach the audience.”

And Naturaltech and Bio Brazil Fair are fundamental for large companies, such as Mustela, to establish partnerships and stimulate business through the exchange of experiences. “They represent the union of a community in favor of sustainability and environmental solutions for the planet, it also gives us a vision of how the market and the final public is, their needs and desires, and we see the growth of this area and the importance of the brand,” reflects Maimi Shimabukuro, the brand’s training and events manager.

Who corroborates this perception is Juliana Napolitano, Marketing Manager of Linea Alimentos. “This year’s edition was very important for Linea Alimentos, especially in the matter of giving visibility to the healthy consumer the size of our portfolio. Also to show innovation, we always try to bring launches and more options to the healthy consumer, such as vegan chocolate, oat milk without added sugars and with fiber and also the orange glacier, to test with the large and diverse public of the fair, “says the manager, showing interest in returning in the next edition.

The 18th BIO BRAZIL FAIR| BIOFACH LATIN AMERICA and the 18th NATURALTECH have already been scheduled. They will be from June 12 to 15, 2024, at the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in São Paulo
