São Paulo, June 11, 2025 – The sustainable beauty sector took center stage on the opening day of Bio Brazil Fair | Biofach Latin America and Naturaltech, reaffirming the leading role of clean, functional, and conscious cosmetology at Latin America’s largest event for the natural, organic, and healthy markets.
The day marked the debut of the 1st Clean Beauty Award, celebrating innovation, environmental responsibility, and a commitment to low-impact, high-performance ingredients. The award recognized leading brands that are reshaping the market with proposals grounded in transparency, efficacy, and purpose. The highlight of the evening was Khor Cosméticos’ SPF 30 FP-UVA 17 Sunscreen, the first sunscreen in the Brazilian market to undergo efficacy testing against infrared (IR) radiation, which won the Best Product of the Year title.
In the Sustainability & Environmental Impact category, first place went to Trau Benjoim Natur Perfume by Herbia Organic Cosmetics—a fresh fragrance free from petrolatum and heavy silicones. Second place went to Surya Brasil for its Henna, and third place to Balmo for its Lip Balm.
In the Market category, the top honor also went to Khor Cosméticos’ SPF 30 FP-UVA 17 Sunscreen. Second place was awarded to Darvore for its Nano 02, and third to Kote Skincare for its Vitamin C Facial Mist.
In the Innovation category, the big winner was Kind Beauty & Care with its Concentrated Niacinamide Facial—a powerful facial serum in topical tablet form—part of Pink Cheeks’ clean beauty line. Second place went to CO.RE Brasil for its Concentrated Soursop Oil, and third to Humà Cosmética for its Bioglow Facial Sculpt.
In addition to the Clean Beauty Award ceremony, the day featured a series of talks at the Health & Beauty Space, including “Multifunctional, Innovative Cosmetics with Sustainable Technology”, presented by Dr. Soraya El Khatib, CEO and founder of S Cosméticos do Bem. She showcased solutions built on traceability, responsible innovation, and end-to-end supply chain control, offering guidance to brands seeking to adopt clean beauty principles. “Clean beauty is not just about what’s in the formula—it’s also about what’s behind it, from the origin of the ingredient to the final packaging. Anyone who wants to work authentically in this market must understand the impact of every decision throughout the production process,” Soraya emphasized.
Another highlight was a presentation by Cris Dios at the Naturaltech Arena. The cosmetologist, specialist in natural therapies, and founder of the Laces Group and the Cris Dios Organics line, spoke on the theme “Integral Beauty”. With a focus on self-care and conscious hair health, she proposed a reconnection with the body and environment, stressing the importance of expanding the concept of beauty while minimizing environmental impact: “I know now that the future belongs to clean beauty, but the cosmetics and hair care industry is still learning. We know that when we care for the health of hair fibers using plant-based ingredients, we are also caring for the planet and for people,” she stated.
“With a rigorous technical curation and the participation of industry specialists, the Clean Beauty Award is establishing itself as a national benchmark for consumers, retailers, and manufacturers who are committed to a new consumption model—one that is more ethical, traceable, and regenerative,” concludes Valeska Ciré, Portfolio Head of the fairs.
