EMISSIONS QUANTIFICATION AND CARBON NEUTRALIZATION
The 2025 edition of the Bio Brazil fair will have its carbon emissions offset in partnership with Carbon Free Brasil. This year the total offset was 31.2 tons.
Emissions will be quantified based on the GHG Protocol, the main international methodology for corporate inventories, and offset through carbon credits certified by VERRA.
THIS FAIR IS BEING CARBON FREE
By adopting reliable and traceable credits, Naturaltech contributes to:
- The preservation of the Amazon rainforest, with a measurable environmental impact;
- Strengthening the social development of local communities and indigenous peoples;
- Climate change mitigation, with an annual reduction of more than 463,000 tCO₂.
In addition to neutralizing emissions, Naturaltech will also contribute to planting native trees in degraded areas of the Atlantic Forest – through the environmental cashback program promoted by Carbon Free Brasil.
This commitment to a low climate impact event is recognized by the Carbon Free® Seal, the official certification for effectively offset emissions.
Partners Waste Management.
waste management
For almost two decades we have been carrying out structured waste management work at Francal events, carrying out selective collection and correct waste disposal, a practice that has always reinforced our concern to reduce the environmental impact of all the events in our portfolio.
At Naturaltech and Bio Brazil Fair, this effort is even greater and, in 2025, in an effort to increase visitor and exhibitor engagement, we created Usininha de Reciclagem, a space to give visibility to selective collection and amplify the results of recycling.
This space was made possible with the support of Tetra Pak and Eureciclo.
During the event, LC Ambiental is responsible for sorting the waste on site and the recyclables are sent to the Central do Tietê Cooperative.
The waste from sorting and organic waste is sent to Multilixo, which is responsible for composting and proper disposal, ensuring a Zero Landfill operation.
On-site waste sorting is carried out during fairs through a partnership with LC Almeida Ambiental.
Specialized professionals responsible for logistics, monitor and track all waste generated in the following phases:
All recyclable material is donated to recycling cooperatives.
Sustainability in action at the fair
During the four days of the Bio Brazil Fair and Naturaltech 2025, in an unprecedented action at the fairs, we will have a recycling plant in operation inside the pavilion, showing live how to transform plastic waste into new objects. Come and visit this educational activity and learn about selective collection and the reuse of waste.
In partnership with eureciclo and Tetra Pak, all recyclable waste will be correctly disposed of by cooperatives, with environmental compensation for the packaging and the results being announced at the end of the event.
Exhibitor, participate!
Separate your waste at the stand and actively contribute to this transformation. Let’s show the real impact of sustainable actions together!

The numbers attest to the good results of waste management
Tons of waste
23.6 Tons of wood material.
58.7 tons of organic material was composted
79.6 tons of recyclable material, collected, sorted and correctly forwarded
ENVIRONMENTAL COMPENSATION
THE PACKAGING
In addition to sending the sorted waste to the cooperative, we also provide 100% environmental compensation for recyclables through the eureciclo label.
This label represents compensation for the total volume of recyclables (paper, glass, metal and plastic) generated during the event, from set-up to dismantling, through the payment of recycling credits to approved cooperatives. In other words:
for each package placed in the environment:
1 equivalent packaging will be recycled
An action that collaborates with the entire recycling chain, the result of the union and collaboration of everyone, including you, the visitor and exhibitor.

DURING THE FAIRS WE DISCLOSE THE BRANDS WITH THE VIVA VERDE SEAL FOR YOU TO VISIT!
together we can go further
In addition to the list of suggested best practices that is part of the Exhibitor Manual, this is another initiative by Francal Feiras to engage and highlight exhibitors committed to holding more sustainable events!
We know that our exhibitors’ products and services are the stars of the event, but they are also committed to visitors and the planet.
For an exhibitor to earn the VIVA VERDE SEAL, they need to adopt a series of criteria in their space. Our team visits the booth installation between the last day of assembly and the first day of the fair to check whether the company has adopted these criteria.
And what does the
VIVA VERDE SEAL represent?
It is the result of the exhibitors’ commitment
We analyze:
- Minimum waste
- Minimum waste
- Mechanisms that facilitate collection and recycling
- Utensils used to support demonstrations and tastings
