The market of refined sugar, gluten and lactose or chemical input-free products, according to the 2017 Global Food and Beverage Trends report, issued by agency Mintel, reveals that four in every five Brazilians are willing to spend more in foods that really have a nutritional value that justifies the investment.  Functional, probiotic, whole, and vegetarian foods, vegan and herbal products, supplements, as well as diet and light products, honey and derivatives, natural cosmetics, essential oils and candles, sports nutrition and esthetics, complementary treatments and equipment – all this universe is going to be at NATURALTECH – Natural Products, Food, Supplements and Health Fair. At its 14th edition, for the first time, the fair is going to occur in the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in São Paulo, on June 6 to 9. Naturaltech, which is to be held simultaneously with BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA, gathers over 400 exhibiting companies, which release around 1,200 products and services. There are representatives of several countries among such companies that recognize Brazil as a bright market to start or consolidate their business operations.  The growth of the fair goes hand in hand with the evolution of the sector itself, which, according to Euromonitor Internacional, generated R$ 93.6 billion in 2016 and is expected to grow at a rate of 4.4% per year by 2021. Given such outlook, Brazil ranks fifth among the largest markets in the world and is one of the nations that developed the most in the last years. Most professional visitors consist of buyers and owners of specialized shops, restaurants, supermarkets, the wholesale market, bakeries, drugstores and perfumeries, hotels, and condominiums, gyms, clinics and clubs, from Brazil and abroad, which come to the fair in search of products that meet a growing portion of customers adopting healthier habits. Healthcare professionals, such as nutritionists, physician nutrition specialists, and therapists, also visit the fair to keep in touch with the market and be up to date with the latest products showcased by the exhibitors and dozens of hours of technical programming including seminars, talks, meetings, and workshops regarding various aspects of the natural production and health promotion. The purpose of Naturaltech is to cause suppliers and the retail market to do business, yet, the fair also collaborates to widen the concept of healthy diet and habits to consumers in general and supports the interaction with brands, exchange of experience and knowledge, thanks to seminars and parallel activities. The public in general may taste and buy products in small quantities in the pavilion directly from producers and manufacturers and also take part in the technical programming.  In harmony with its philosophy of a health event, this year Naturaltech offers one more novelty and encourages the visitors and exhibitors to come to the fair by public transport. The organization will offer free of charge round-trip shuttle service from Portuguesa-Tietê subway station up to Anhembi during the opening hours of the fair. Knowledge and health To increase our knowledge is vital for us to choose a healthier life and, therefore, Naturaltech offers a broad programming including talks and activities about the most diverse themes (the programming in detail will be disclosed soon): Vegetarian Cuisine Festival: Chefs and culinary specialists with vegetarian and vegan practices teach the public how to prepare nutritive and delicious recipes. VI Aromatology Meeting and III Meeting of Integrative Practices: Talks and workshops given by physicians, psychologists, nutritionists, biologists, professors, physical therapists, and specialists in integrative and complementary practices. II Congress on Clinical Herbal Medicine and VII Brazilian Congress on Phytomedicine (paid event): Dedicated to nutritionists, physicians, pharmacists, physical educators, and healthcare professionals, the talks are given by professionals with great experience in the area who contribute with updated, superlative and practical scientific contents.  Overview of Organic and Natural Cosmetics: The impact of sustainability over the beauty industry is present in the talks given by specialists and professionals studying and using the organic products on their routine. 11th SVB Seminar – Vegetarianism in Focus: Specialists approach themes about how important the vegetarian nutrition is to all aspects of life. The seminar is for those who have already adopted vegetarianism and those who are just taking their first steps.

Business Rounds Naturaltech and BIO BRAZIL FAIR | BIOFACH AMERICA LATINA, the simultaneous fair, with a view to broaden even more the business opportunities of their exhibitors, are going to promote another edition of the Business Rounds: a set of previously scheduled meetings gathering exhibiting companies and buyers invited by the organization that are interested in the products offered by such exhibitors. In the 2017 edition, the 416 meetings promoted by the Business Rounds estimated sales of R$ 23.4 million for the following 12 months, a figure almost 10 times bigger than what was achieved in the first edition, held one year earlier.
